Education
I am at Macomb Community College for Music Education now. For the last 3 years I was at Baker College for Elementary Education with a focus in Mathematics. I am a current undergraduate, but am less than a year away from my associates degree in general studies. I have a 3.2 GPA as well.
Experience
I began tutoring in my senior year of high school for my community service. I tutored a 4th grade girl in mathematics. Years later she got in touch with me and told me how much better in math she was doing. She was in AP math now. She thanked me for giving her the tools to get there. That's when I decided teaching and helping students learn was what I wanted to do. It's an amazing feeling getting the right answer and it's even more of an amazing feeling knowing you helped get that person there. I have a major in mathematics and have taken math all the way through calculus 1. I have also taken many education courses where I learned many ways of teaching subjects to students. I feel as though I have the necessary skills to help reinforce with students what they are trying to learn in school, and may need a little extra help with.
Availability
Mon/Wed/Fri in the afternoon, Saturday in the morning, Tues/Thurs in the afternoon, Wednesday after 5PM, Sunday at any time

Hobbies
Now that I am a music education major. I am always learning music. I am currently in guitar lessons. I took clarinet from 5th-12th grade. Next semester I will be taking vocal, more guitar, music theories, and music histories. Music is something that is extremely important to me. I also love to read when I have time. I also love to crochet. I've been trying to learn new hobbies and I'm going to try to find a sports league in January. I'm also big into fitness, now.
